Wide range of diameter and wall thickness - The steel pipes are manufactured in accordance with ASTM A 252, JIA 5525 and BS3601 or other specifications, with a wide choice of dimensions.
Ease of splicing - Consistent circularity and tight diameter tolerance produce significant advantages when joining in the field. Piles can be easily spliced on site to extend pile lengths as required for deep driving.
Long lengths - Availability of long length piles reduces cost of handling and joining at site.
Ease of transportation and handling - As steel pipe piles are light weight and less susceptible to damage, their transportation and handling are made easy.

Large load-bearing capacity - Piles can be driven deeply into hard bearing stratum resulting in achieving a larger bearing capacity.
Smaller net section area - Piles can be spaced closely, owing to lesser soil displacement during piling and adverse effects on neighboring structures will be minimised.
High column buckling and bending capabilities - Steel pipe piles are commonly used in marine structures due to their versatility.
